Unleash your creativity and see the zoo through an artist's eyes in these exciting 'Wild Drawing' sessions with illustrator, Laura Darling
Known for her vibrant, characterful work, Laura's varied practice includes books for children and adults and a series of murals for Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Children. Her debut picture book The Great Highland Chase (written by Kate Abernethy) was longlisted for the prestigious Klaus Flugge Prize
In these informal sessions, you will explore the zoo and get to know its inhabitants through observational drawing. Laura will share tips and techniques focused on creating drawings full of movement and life and help you discover your own unique visual language.
Perfect for all abilities; whether you haven't picked up a pencil since school or draw regularly, Wild Drawing offers you the time and space to draw in an inspiring and supportive environment
What to bring:
A sketchbook and drawing tools (pencils, pens - whatever you would like to try out)
Layers of clothing and wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty - this session will go ahead in all weathers!
Your ticket also includes a full day ticket to the zoo, so you can continue exploring after your time with Laura
